"Fan email from your previous client - me"

Monday May 8, 2023

Hi Karen,

It’s been a while since my case settled in 2010, but you would remember me as ‘Colleen McCallum v. Allstate Insurance’ for a Bad Faith Claim with co-counsel Michael Fisher from Rush, Hannula, Harkins & Kyler.

That MVA was in 2004, and the lawsuits took over 6 years - it was a huge relief once it was finally settled.

I have been living in Florida since 2012. I had moved here hoping it would be a fresh start and that I wouldn’t ever have to be part of another lawsuit…but that didn’t last long.

I was involved in a bad MVA in 2021 where another driver ran 2 stop signs, hit my vehicle, and pushed it into oncoming traffic where I was hit head on by another car.

My SUV was totaled and I was injured.

I’ve spend the last 2 years trying to heal and put my life back together. It has not been easy.

I wanted to tell you how much I wish you were on my team again for this one.

My lawyers have been such a massive disappointment.

I’ve had to hire & fire one law firm and now I’m working with another.

They are the most passive people I’ve ever met - definitely NOT what I need in an attorney. I’m more assertive than they are, and they call me asking what they should do…I’m pretty sure that’s THEIR job to figure out.

My current attorney even fell asleep during my Zoom mediation…I was dumbfounded.

State Farm has only offered me $X to settle, which I adamantly refused. It’s insulting that they put no value on my time, pain & suffering or loss of income/property.

It’s so incredibly frustrating, but I’m in too far now to change lawyers again. I’ll be so glad when this is done and I can get on with my life.

I am so grateful I had the chance to work with you before, and that I had the peace of mind of knowing you were on my side and I was in good hands.

Wish you were here (seriously).

Take care,

Colleen McCallum
